Sudden Cardiac Arrest

Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) impacts about 350,000 people a year in the USA. 95% of those 350,000 die. SCA effects people of all ages and is the #2 leading medical cause of death. SCA is a life-threatening emergency that can lead to death in minutes.
SCA is characterized by the heart suddenly stopping, the person collapsing and not responding or breathing normally.
Survival depends on early recognition. Someone nearby needs to be designated to call 911, immediately. If a qualified person is around to perform CPR, they should do so until help arrives.

As Oklahoma's premier Integrative Cardiologist, Dr. Bargas is equipped to access your heart health and risks. She uses functional medicine in order to provide her patients with a thorough evaluation and to develop an individual lifestyle plan.

There are different types of malnutrition. Most think of undernutrition when they think of malnutrition. Undernutrition can lead to delayed growth, difficulty maintaining and gaining weight, and in severe cases wasting. However, not getting the right balance of nutrients or being able to absorb nutrients completely can lead to obesity. Obesity is a type of malnutrition

If you have concerns about whether you may be experiencing malnutrition, schedule an appointment to talk to Dr. Bargas about what options you have to make sure you are maximizing the benefits of the foods you are eating.
